Click to Rate04/07/2015Was not terribly impressed with the staff.It could be that the group of friends of theirs had stopped by and so they were distracted and more interested in getting us to leave than actually helping us.During this there was little-to-no help when trying to decide which new flavours to try.We were handed the samples and a card that showed the varieties but there was very little interaction between us and the staff.We were hopeful, but fortunately, there are smaller, fewer known ecig shops that will deliver stellar service and will be very welcome to have our business.It is also difficult to see who sells what when they offer novelties, sign making and a bunch of other smaller business ventures inside the store...As for flavours, I ended up getting my signature type -- some variety of pixie stick...The juice lasted a good two weeks but lacks in actual taste.Fiance and I went to another store and found that their flavors pack a punch behind them.We may go back another day just to see if the service is different, but from my experience, this is a lasting impression that is often repeated.ShareFlag12/16/2013Very Nice people at the shop.

Log InSubscribed, but don't have a login?Activate your digital access.Saying that e-cigarettes and hookahs present a threat to non-users and air quality, Louisville’s health department is recommending that the Metro Council ban their use indoors."Supportis mounting to restrict the use of electronic cigarettes and hookah in indoor public settings in the best interest of the public’s health," said a Nov.30 health report delivered to Mayor Greg Fischer.The 77-page report, obtained by the Courier-Journal through an open records request on Tuesday, contains letters from four different health organizations, such as the American Heart Association and American Lung Association, urging council members to adopt a ban.Louisville health officials said including electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, and hookah products in the city’s smoking ban “will act to protect Louisville Metro’s clean air standards, protect against secondhand exposure to harmful chemicals, and improve enforcement efforts.”The regulation of e-cigarette and hookah shops has been discussed by city leaders for some time, but little action had been taken until Fischer called for expanding the smoking ban last year.Ryan Burkhead, CEO of Vapor Lab, a Louisville-based company with three e-cigarette shops, said vaping business owners are likely to fight for an exemption that would allow the use of products in their stores.

The hookah is a single or multi-stemmed instrument that dates back hundreds of years that allows users to inhale flavored tobacco, called shisha, or other substances.An e-cigarette is typically a handheld device that individuals use to inhale a flavored liquid as vapor, which has become an alternative to smoking among enthusiasts.The city is also not opining on whether e-cigarettes help people quit smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes as some proponents and users have argued, according to the report.But it isn't calling for a ban of the sale of these products either."Itis simply stating that electronic cigarettes should not be consumed in public indoor spaces," the report said."The same goes for hookah.Again, this position is not advocating closing hookah bars; only that hookah smoking not take place inside public places."Underthe current ordinance, smoking is defined as “inhaling or exhaling the smoke from any lighted cigarette, cigar, or pipe, or other combustible tobacco product.”The health department is proposing to amend that definition to prohibit hookahs and marijuana — whether synthetic or natural — in any manner or form.
