"No, nothing is burning, therefore there isn't any smoke."On the other hand, I can see people complaining about and some rabid ones not making any effort to understand (buy) your point and making a big stink about it (pun intended).You might be in a better/worse position if your model doesn't/does have the water vapor effect and/or glowing tip (or whatever the heck they call these features); you know were it *looks* like a burning cigarette and there is smoke.Some models have this others don't.If your model doesn't, I be tempted to tell you to go for it (be discrete and perhaps no one will notice).If it does, I would count on someone noticing & saying something.The last thing I'll say is that if someone make an issue out of it (and you don't know the policy says it's okay), be polite explain your position but stop anyway.This is not a day & age where you want to be seen causing a ruckus in an airport.Good luck on finding out a definitive answer and suggest that if you do, you post the answer on this thread for future visitors.
