A shop worker suffered burns after his e-cigarette exploded in his pocket and set him on fire in front of horrified co-workers.CCTV footage shows the man calmly chatting to staff behind the counter of the Central Cellars wine store in Grand Central Station, New York.But suddenly and without warning the back pocket of his trousers explodes like a firework.A man who was paying for two bottles of wine runs out of the store without looking back, as fellow store workers step back to escape the pyrotechnics.The man is helpless as bright white sparks fly out of his trouser legs, while he desperately tries to pat down the burning vape stick in his pocket.After finally putting out the fire, a large black smoke circle is seen on the floor where he was standing.The victim was taken to hospital with minor burns to his legs and hands.Central Cellars assistant manager Jonathan Lee told the New York Daily Times : "I saw fireworks coming out of his pocket and I thought: 'He brought fireworks to work.'“But then he started panicking.” The store worker is not the first person to have an e-cigarette suddenly explode on them.
