These are my current top picks for best vape pen for wax and oil concentrates. If you wanna vaporize dry herb check out my list of top picks for best portable vaporizer.» SOURCE orb 4  *Great build, A+ atomizers, excellent for light or heavy useThe new SOURCE orb 4 vaporizer combines top-shelf performance with an elegant feel and solid build quality. This one has a magnetic connection now for the two mouthpiece parts, inside of which is the atomizer. This makes it more convenient to open and close during use and it’s also pretty cool how it feels. The orb itself is made of stainless steel and the atomizers are made of Grade 1 & 2 Titanium, as well as food-grade ceramics.Vapor quality and taste is excellent with all of the coils, and they make a variety of types including dual quartz & ceramic rods and a titanium nail.Their $50 orb 4 attachment kit is a very good deal and they give you 4 unique atomizers with it, all of which are awesome. In my opinion this is the best wax pen for $50 that you’ll find. Then they have a Premium kit for $100 that includes a battery and 6 coils, and also a Signature kit for $200 with an even better battery and 8 coils total.VapeRating:  95/100 – Tier 1 Top PickPrice:  $45+ from official SOURCEvapes store  (after using my promo code STAYUP10 for 10% off) » KandyPens Gravity  *Nice look & feel, great performance, quartz & ceramic coilsThe Gravity vaporizer pen is the latest and greatest from KandyPens.
It comes with two fantastic atomizers (quartz rods & ceramic plate), the draw resistance is perfect (feels very natural), and you can get as little or as much vapor as you want with it.Another great thing about the Gravity is its ability to produce a lot of vapor with a short draw (with the quartz coil), and the 4 temp settings help you dial in the perfect heating intensity. It works with thin oils too – the atomizers are now sealed at the bottom so nothing will leak out. They put the air holes high up on the chamber walls too so you can actually put enough oil in there for a bunch of good draws.Vapor quality is excellent with both coils and the experience is unique with each one, so it’s kinda like two pens in one.VapeRating:  95/100 – Tier 1 Top PickPrice:  $91 from official KandyPens store  (after using my promo code TVC30 for 30% off)  Check back soon for updates because I update this page regularly! Many years ago I posted a best vape pen review video where I went over a few of the most popular models at the time.
This video is very outdated now but here is the original transcription: Hello there. In this video I’m going to show you these four pen vaporizers. So if you follow my reviews you know that I mainly cover herbal vaporizers but these vapes that you see here, these are really designed for use with oils and waxes.da vinci vaporizer for cheapSo I just want to say now before I get started that I do not claim to be an expert with concentrates, or oil or wax pens.cohiva vape flower vaporizer reviewSo this vape on the left here, this is called the Omicron, and this one’s made by a company called W9 Tech or Delta 9 and this one’s pretty cool.cheap vapor pen liquid
This one is the largest of the bunch here as you can tell. This one’s mainly made for use with oils.Basically the way this type of vape works is it comes apart into a bunch of different pieces so, for instance, you can unscrew the bottom cap here and then you’re going to have the battery that comes out.e cigarette iowa cityThis is a rechargeable battery and then you could also unscrew the battery compartment.ggts vaporizerThen you could unscrew the chamber from here and then you could actually take off the mouthpiece also.kerosene vaporizerAnd this part is the cartridge of the vape and this is where your material’s going to go.wispr vaporizer by iolite reviews
So they sell packs of these cartridges unfilled or, depending on where you live, you might be able to buy these pre-filled.And if you are filling it yourself it comes with this filling tool. And this thing sort of fits right on top of the cartridge like that.top 10 portable vaporizersAnd then you put your concentrates in here and then you heat up the outside and they sort of melt down into the cartridge. Now as far as the strength of the cartridges, there’s a couple of different ones.da buddha vaporizer discount codeThe one it comes with is a 2.4 ohm cartridge which will give you light to medium vapor. It’s basically what’s recommended for most people, especially for beginners. And then they also make a lower ohm cartridge I guess, a 1.5 ohm, and that one’s going to give you a stronger draw and produce more vapor.
But that one is kind of recommended for more advanced users. So once you have your oil in the cartridge you would just put all the pieces back together like that. And when you first put it together you might go to push the button and wonder why it’s not turning on.This vape, as well as a bunch of other ones, it has sort of like a locking thing built in so that you don’t inadvertently push the button in your pocket. So to first unlock it and to start using it you hit the button five times in a row like that. And it’ll blink to indicate that now it’s on.And then any time you push the button it’ll engage the heater. And basically the way you use a vape like this is very similar to most other vapes. You’re just going to hit the button and take a nice, slow, kind of long draw for five to ten seconds and then adjust your technique as you see fit.So I like this one, I thought it was pretty cool, and I would say that out of the bunch this is probably the one that feels the highest quality.
So next I have the Atmos Raw which now goes by Atmos Rx.So I already have a couple of old review videos for this one because this one did come out in the beginning of last year, of 2012.The reason I originally bought it is because it is marketed as an herbal vaporizer but the deal with pens like this, or what ended up happening, what I figured out about it is that these are really just like a hot coil inside that when you push it in it heats up.And I’m trying to show you here, maybe you can see it start to glow… Let me heat it up a second time.Alright, so you can’t really see it glowing because of, you know, that shit coming out, but whatever. There’s a coil at the bottom, it heats up and basically just combusts whatever you put in there. So it’s really like an e-pipe or something like that. It’s a convenient way to combust.A combustion pen might be a good term for it.I know they do make little glass pieces to put in the chamber that they say lets you actually vaporize dried herbs in here and I tried that when I originally got this, but I didn’t really get great results so I sort of stopped using it like that.
But as more people started contacting me about this one, I started to realize that most people, I think, use it for concentrates and they don’t try to really vape dried herbs in here.So I tested that out myself for awhile and sure enough it works pretty well like that, it actually produces pretty big draws. So I think it’s pretty cool for using it like that. Now something else that I want to talk about briefly is the deal with basically this thing being everywhere under a dozen different brand names. So the thing with these pen vapes, aside from the Omicron which is kind of a little different, with a pen vape like this, basically the same product with slight variations it is sold under multiple brand names. So some of them might look slightly different.I know some of them have like a little LCD read out on the bottom here, and the button might look a little different, but generally they pretty much all work in the same way.Now I have received sort of a lot of complaints I guess as far as reliability goes, so this might not be the most reliable product out there.
Some people tell me that their heating chamber dies after awhile. You know, it’ll stop heating up when you push the button so you might have to get a new one.Now they do sell all the parts separately and stuff if you ever need any replacements but it could definitely get annoying if it stops working over and over again.Oh, and in case you’ve never seen one of these before, there’s also like a little ceramic piece in the mouthpiece thing here.So next I’ll move onto this one.Now this one that I have here is actually unbranded. So you’ll see vapes like this for sale under a variety of brand names just like the situation with this one. They might have slight variations in the cartridge piece up here, it might look a little different on each one, but the deal with a pen like this is that it uses a standard eGo battery type thing. And this part here is where you put your oils and this type of vape or this type of cartridge really only works with oils, thin oils. And in some circumstances depending on what material you’re actually using you could even like dilute your concentrate in here.
You’ll also see a lot of e-cigs out there on the market, if you’re into that, that look exactly like this because that’s basically what this is.It’s pretty much like e-cig parts that were very slightly modified or sometimes even not modified at all.But nonetheless it did work fairly well.I didn’t use it for awhile; I only had a little bit of stuff to put in there, but it was pretty cool I guess, it’s kind of like a lighter type of thing.Oh, and in case you never saw one of these before, this black mouthpiece at the top here, it actually unscrews. And like I said there’s a lot of different variations of this, there’s a lot of models, but they all sort of work in a similar way.So then your oil would then be like injected into the side and then it would go down in there. And then when it’s full, you would just screw this back on, and there you go.And just like with this guy over here, with the Atmos or this type of pen, you know the quality is kind of like all over the place.
It’s kind of hit or miss with the reliability too so it’s not uncommon for parts of these to go out, like for batteries to sometimes stop working or for cartridges or chambers to stop working. It’s pretty common especially when you’re dealing with concentrates.Alright? So I’m moving onto this guy here.So this one is a micro G-pen or a microG, but again just like these two you will see pretty much the exact same thing sold under at least a dozen brand names, maybe more. And again, there is slight variations mostly in the atomizer or the coil piece in the middle. So the way these work these are basically like a mini-version of a normal vape pen. These will work with wax and oils but they’re really for wax and stuff, you don’t really want to put anything too runny or thin into this. It’ll work with it but you’ll have to keep it straight up because, as you can see here, this is the coil or the atomizer. So what I noticed is that if I put anything in there that was too thin or liquidy and then I left the vape on its side for a little while, the stuff would just leak out.
So this is mainly considered a wax vape. Now I’m going to show you what the action is like.So I have some stuff left in there so you might not be able to totally make out the coil but there’s basically just a wire coil in there wrapped around a little wick and when you engage the heater the coil just heats up and basically just combusts your concentrates. All right, I’ll show you again, I’ll show you closer.Alright and this piece here is just the cap, there’s nothing in here, it’s hollow, it’s just a little shell. And the atomizer of the coil piece it actually just pulls right off of the battery.Okay, this is the battery or the base piece. This is the part that you’ll plug in to charge up.And this coil piece is really the piece that might vary slightly from brand to brand, but generally they all kind of work in a similar way where they have some kind of coil in there or some kind of wick. And then when you push the button it just heats up and, you know, roasts whatever you’ve got in there.
So this piece itself, it’s not really designed to last that long.Even the manufacturer of this one says on their website somewhere that it’s estimated that each one will last you roughly a month, and then they sell the replacements obviously. And also you do sort of need to be careful with this one especially when you’re loading it because if you stick like your poker or anything metal in there and you touch the coil you don’t want to like mess it up and you definitely don’t want to be poking it around with metal stuff while you’re pushing the button and engaging it because you’ll just like short the thing out.And then this piece when you want to put it back on, it just sort of snaps in like that. And then the mouthpiece then goes on like that.Sometimes it won’t stay like this in your pocket.Like the last time I tried to bring this somewhere and I put it in my pocket when I pulled it out of my pocket it was like this so it came apart where the battery connects to the coil.
And like the other one, this one also has the locking feature on the button so that when you put it in your pocket it doesn’t engage itself. All right so I didn’t take clips of myself using all of these but I do have this one clip of the Omicron. And the other ones you know don’t look much different when you’re using them, you pretty much could get the same amount of vapor and you take roughly the same type of draw, like the same duration. All right so that’s going to wrap it up.Thanks for taking the time to watch and stay up!The Hypnos Zero from Linx Vapor is one of the smallest vape pens I’ve reviewed which makes it super stealthy and discreet, and it also happens to have one of the coolest atomizers I’ve tried.Build quality, vapor production, taste and smoothness are all top shelf, and it also features industry leading battery life.It works best when you load small amounts of wax at a time, but it’s super efficient so you’ll be surprised how many draws you get.I would consider this to be one of the best vape pens for light to medium use.The ceramic plate atomizer is smaller than average but it’s super efficient with your concentrate, so a little bit goes a long way.
