I Bring You the Ghost MV1 Vaporizer I usually stay pretty in-the-closet online about these topics, but I was so excited by this vape that I had to sign up for this forum just to comment!I've been considering switching from smoking to vaping for a bit and finally started shopping.I wanted the best portable herb vaporizer I could get and was looking at the DaVinci IQ.It fit a lot of my needs, but I really preferred a convection type vape, and the chamber was actually too big for my needs.I would have needed to buy and use spacers to reduce the size; they're glass and can chip, break, get in the chamber sideways, etc.So a smaller chamber is better.There were just a few other little details that kept it from perfect.The Ghost MV1 sounds perfect.Aside from looking a bit different than my ideal it covers every one of the things I wanted, and fixes everything I didn't want.And the different look isn't really bad, just not what I was looking for or had in my head while shopping.I think I'll adapt to the techie look vs.

sleek and subtle just fine.And I will really only use it at home anyhow.While a couple people brought up valid questions about waiting for further reviews or wanting more beta/field testing before purchasing, I'm willing to take this risk based on @VapeCritic's info thus far and his initial review if it's available before time to order, because I'm anxious to try vaping and see if it will alleviate some side-effects I think are due to smoking.(I think biologically speaking, we're probably built to eat herbs, not smoke smoke them But that's slow when you're in pain and doesn't offer the variety that flower does, etc. So... vaping, right?)Anyhow, I'm willing to take the chance of spending on something that sounds potentially ideal vs.just slightly less on something I know is not.So I'll play human Guinea pig (Gods know I've done it enough medically!)And I'll write up a nice review.I don't do video.I have professional reviewer experience for various things, so I'll be thorough.@VapeCritic or someone, just let me know where's a good place for a review when I get my Ghost!

On the bottom, to the left of the funnels, are Mike's 3-d printed silicone adapters.He makes funnels to fit the GH, for loading doob tubes, and many others.Visit Mike's site and tell him Baron23 sent you.LOL So, my vape is in a stand and now I have to load it.Below is a shot of the scoops, stir tools, and brushes that I use.Little bit of description might help.From the top: 1.This came from a "wax carving" set from Amazon.This is for real wax and clay carving but a set is real cheap and you will find uses for this 2.This is a dental pick.Again, super cheap set from Amazon and a 1,000 other outlets 3.Hemostats....if you haven't wanted something like this, then you need to vape more, IMO!LOL Invaluable for many purposes including dunking items in ISO without getting your reclaim loaded ISO all over your hands.To me, the key to vape maintenance is clean the oven as soon as the load is done.On top is the S&B brush which is very good.Can't remember where the second, long bristle brush came from...some vape or other.

Below that is another Hints from Heloise type item.This a cheap solder brush from Home Depot.Not quite stiff enough when stock, but take a sissors and trim the bristle length down and they are wonderful and cheap.On the sides are little bottle brushes that I got with various vapes.The bottom one is from New Vape and the one I use almost always anymore.The two above it are from Delta-3 D and are smaller in capacity and have stirring points on the other end.The clear plastic one is sold by Pinnacle with their vapes.I like this for loading larger chambers like the Volcano.Well, now I have to use the stuff and these are some of my more useful accessories.First up is the ALWAYS useful J-hook in 14 mm and 18 mm Now, if you like to put your Enano, EVO, Mighty with adapter, etc on water these are wonderful as they have a built in carb.You can use a scientific glass claisen adapter (google them) and they are cheaper, but not quite to my liking as the shape on these.Again, 14 and 18 mm.Well, we always need joint adapters don't we (do we need this many of them though!

LOL) And drop downs to keep nail heat away from our expensive glass And carb caps....as Gloria Vanderbilt said...you can never be too thin or have too many carb caps...or something like that.hahaha I use these with my Liger banger I suppose a separate topic is accessories used for cleaning from stoppers to cleaning solution to flexible bottle brushes.Save that for another post.LOL Baron23, Arizer Solo 2 CTC85, Mouette, Best Convection-style Vaporizer?First, please tell me if you need a portable or if a plug in desktop unit is acceptable.If the later, there are some extremely good desktop convection vapes out there: the Storz & Bickel Volcano and the Herbalizer if you like bag vapes (very mild and very controllable).I don't have nor have used a Herbalizer but I do have a Volcano and its still in rotation.Great, utterly reliable device.Again in the area of desktops but NOT bag vapes there is the always wonderful log vape epitomized by the Enano by Epic Vape.

Can handle small loads down to about .05 g or can be loaded more.Glass vapor path, can just be left on all of the time, has GonG (glass on glass adapters) to put it on a water pipe very well (again, goes to smoothness and your asthma), and not too expensive.Log vapes tend to be as reliable as a rock and require very little cleaning (bit of ISO down the glass stem does it).There are other log vapes out there also to look at; heat island, woodscents, others can name other log vapes but to me the Enano is the leader and backed by a very good company.I have one and love it.Another full convection desktop is the VapeXhale Cloud EVO.This is a beast.If you like to hit a vape like a bong, like to be a couple of hits and done, then the EVO may well be for you.Gets pricey, however, as the EVO really shines when put through a Hydrotube (HT) that they make (think big bubbler).I have a Turbine HT and its wonderful.You can invert an EVO and use it on a water pipe like the Nano, but its a bit big for that.

But wonderful on an HT, IMO, and very versatile.There is another whole category of desktop, full convection, vapes that are very, very good and efficient extractors but they are more like an herb version of an enail and for a guy looking for his one vape...nah, not for you.In this category is the Sublimator, the New Vape Flower Pot, the Herborizer Ti, and I'm sure there are other.In portables, I think you already got a good recommendation on the Boundless CFV or the Flower Mate SwiftPro (identical vapes, different branding).I have a SwiftPro and like it very much.Full convection, small and light package, decently small oven size (I'm generally NOT looking to load a half of a gram at a time so I like the SwiftPro oven size).That, and the price is pretty good.There are popular full convection portables that use either an unregulated battery (no temp control and you can combust) or butane lighter to power them.Again, you can combust with these without trying too hard, so I will not delve into them for you...I don't think they will be your cup of tea.

Now, somebody mentioned the Solo II.The Airizer Solo has many, many fans over the years and its proved to be a very good vape for many.To me, its a transportable log vape.Really works the same way as an Enano but without the cord.I don't own one so I can't directly comment, but one hit you hear about them is high draw resistance.This might work for you.Now, let's talk about your Atmos Raw and your fear of combustion.The RAW is a piece of shit and its not even a vape IMO.IMO its a electric pipe and will most definitely combust.You will NOT combust ever with the vapes I have listed here (above and the ones I talk about below) unless you do something extreme (and I can't even THINK of a way to make a Volcano combust).Please do not let your experience with the Raw influence you too much.Its not representative of real conduction vapes or hybrid vapes.So, with that said, there are a couple of really good hybrid (convection/conduction) vapes out there.Personally, I love my S&B Mighty.Seems like mostly convection to me with conduction maybe contributing more if you push vaping the load to its complete and utter end.

F*cking great device, IMO.The Boundless CFX is another hybrid portable that I like.I like the Mighty a lot more, but the CFX is a lot less expensive.Not always, cause brand recognition comes into play, but you tend to get what you pay for.Then there is full conduction portables of which there are many good ones, but as an asthmatic I can't recommend them to you as I personally find conduction generated vapor to be more harsh for some reason than convection.I will never recommend the FF2.Yes, there are some folks out there that just love it.But there are many, like our friend @Kakarot, who found it to be a complete rip off.That, and the company's attitude toward complaints, which I interpreted as "you are too stupid to understand how great this device is" turned me off.To me, its the story of the Emperor's New Clothes.The Grasshopper is a full convection portable with GREAT function...when it works.They are still running their reliability improvement program and I have had one for pretty much a year without issue.

But they still have too many RMAs for me to be able to recommend this to someone as their sole vape.Now, we come to pre-released vapes....like the MV-1.Please understand that pre-release means just that.To my knowledge, the only person outside the manf to handle one is Bud.It has not been released in production version, there is no community of users yet reporting on its function and durability, and that is the real alpha and omega of this story.I know the Vape Critic pretty well, I have the highest respect for his expertise and opinions, and I think he is truly motivated to just help the average vaporist find the right product.He has participated as sort of a user requirements source and a beta tester for the MV-1.But even he has not seen or yet used a final production model.So, if you are in the market NOW for a vape, IMO only sign up for the MV-1 if you are completely willing to be an early adopter of, as yet, an unproven device.I own about a ten vapes.If I buy an MV-1 as an early adopter, its because vaping and vape devices is kind of a hobby for me as well (as for medication) and I won't be left holding my putz if the MV-1 stinks.
